Echo Free and a stronger Voice

Echo Free is now available for Cloud accounts, while Voice becomes more useful from day one and more reliable as it learns from your writing.

Echo Free

Cloud accounts can now get started without bringing their own AI key, while personal provider connections still take priority.

A stronger Voice

Echo starts useful immediately and becomes more personal as you add writing, without inventing style claims from thin evidence.

More reliable writing

Voice previews use your latest saved Voice, respect explicit directions, and recover more clearly when a generation cannot finish.

Echo 0.3.2 — Echo Free and a stronger Voice

Echo 0.3.2 makes it easier to get started, more reliable to use, and much better at helping AI write in a way that sounds like you.

Echo Free is here

Cloud accounts can now use Echo Free without bringing an AI provider key. Echo prepares a managed free model in the background, keeps you informed while it is being set up, and safely resumes eligible work once access is ready.

You can still connect your own provider at any time—your own connection always takes priority.

A much better Voice

Voice now starts useful immediately and grows more personal as you add writing.

  • New accounts receive a practical starting Voice guide right away.
  • Sparse writing no longer produces invented style claims: Echo uses clear, deterministic guidance until it has enough evidence.
  • Soft preferences and hard “never do this” rules are treated differently, so your instructions remain precise.
  • Build Voice, Teach Echo, and Fine-tune are now clearer, with better previews, downloads, history handling, and review controls.
  • Voice previews use the latest saved Voice, respect your explicit directions, and make one careful retry when the result is too close to the original.
  • Capture-to-Voice is more resilient when a provider or background job runs into trouble.

Reliability and polish

This release also includes fixes and safeguards across Echo Free setup, Capture actions, background processing, Voice refinement, release emails, and the marketing experience.

Release emails can now be resent deliberately, with delivery and engagement tracking for sent, delivered, opened, clicked, bounced, suppressed, and complained events.

Thanks for helping shape Echo as it becomes a more dependable place to capture ideas and express them in your own voice.
